Previous Chapter 7.5 | Next Chapter 8

You are prepared. You are ready. You can make disciples. You are an image-bearing ambassador with a mission and a message. You are also a link in a long, long chain of God’s mission. The sense of urgency you now feel will last for a short while unless you understand the weight of the world is not for your shoulders.

God has been working and redeeming since the beginning. Men are God’s method and the nations are His prize. We have a Great Commission task in front of us. Billions have yet to hear the gospel and have no church among them to reach them, yet take heart God has a plan. You don’t have to do everything. There is no need hesitate when you realize you can’t do everything. You are a small, but vital part of that plan.

To get a sense of the vastness of God’s mission, the thrust of history leading to this point in your life, and the surety of the future completion that drives our urgency, take a short walk through the scriptures below.

Take your time. Pray and listen to the Spirit. Your view of history and the future may drastically change.

What is the Father's Heart?

What did you learn?

What are you going to do about it?
